The old cliche “Failure to Plan is the Plan to FAIL” is absolutely true!

It is especially important if you are considering starting your own Home Based Business.

Planning encompasses many basic principles.

Can you imagine where Bill Gates would be today without a plan? (He’s just the Multi-Billionaire owner of Microsoft. If Mr. Gates didn’t have a plan he could throw away his passion, vision and the dream of the empire he created. You may not be the next Bill Gates by looking for Home Based Business, but neither would Bill if he didn’t have a plan.

It’s reasonable to imagine that without Microsoft life as we know it would be vastly different. We wouldn’t be close to where we are today from a technology standpoint.

One guys plan to market an “operating system” led to Google, Yahoo, TiVo (DVR) and the computer or iphone you are reading this document from right at this moment.

  • Find a product or service you can remain passionate about in the Home Based Business industry.

  • Estimate how much money and time it will take to accomplish the short term goal and then double it

  • Map out or flow-chart your business

  • Create and double check your budget.
  • Visualize your plan and make sure to include your personal monetary goals. Always include in your vision; what you want to give back to your church, community or charity (This is very powerful in achieving your goals).

Under capitalization is a sure way to lose your business and quick. When creating your budget make sure you include payment to yourself unless all your bills are paid without your business revenue (Remember to always pay yourself first – you are worth it and you are most likely more effective without personal financial stress)

If all this sounds overwhelming when looking at Home Based Business then just find a company with a solid product, game plan and infrastructure (similar to a franchise – only internet based).
